WHO WE ARE

Troop 188 in Rochester Hills, Michigan has been around since 1962.  In the past 60 years, we have had the honor of 100 of our Scouts achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.  In 2019, we became a Coed Troop accepting all teens into our amazing Troop.

Our Troop is part of the Michigan Crossroads Council.  For more information about the Council you can visit their website.

Scout BSA and Troop 188 support  the youth led concept of scouting. The adult fully-trained leadership makes every effort to allow the scouts  to succeed as a unit.  The bond that is formed helps achieve scouting goals and assists younger scouts to strive for greater things while older scouts to develop their leadership skills.

A teen who participates in scouting can expect to have a lot of fun, work hard, learn a lot and grow both physically and mentally. Scouts emphasizes both leadership and cooperation. Within each scout troop, patrols work as a team, sometimes competing against other patrols and sometimes working together with them. These basic leadership and cooperation lessons prove useful later in life.
